Rev. Spitz:
Iím sorry we didnít reply to your original email. We did discuss it and did our own research, and felt comfortable inviting runners to participate in the Race for the Cure.
Thank you,
Anita Killebrew

Above email was final response to my informing Great Bridge Presbyterian Church that Susan Komen's Race For the Cure gives donated money to the babykillers at Planned Parenthood.
Including our local Susan Komen Tidewater giving $25,000 to the Planned Parenthood at 515 Newtown Road, Virginia Beach and has since given thousands of dollars more to Planned Parenthood on Newtown Road.

Dear pastors and Mr. Boron,
I did not hear back from you when I informed you that Susan Komen gives money to Planned Parenthood.
Since I didnít hear back, I assumed you didnít really care. On the off chance you do, a new article came out
today that addresses the same issue.
Sincerely,
Donald Spitz

Amidst rumors, Komen confirms it plans to continue giving to Planned Parenthood
by Susan Tyrrell
Wed Dec 14, 2011 12:00 EST

December 14, 2011 Bound4Life.com - Much debate has arisen lately on whether or not the Susan G. Komen Foundation plans to continue to fund Planned Parenthood. Reports briefly surfaced that it had agreed to stop, but within two days of the initial reports, Komen in Orange County, California confirmed it had given Planned Parenthood two more grants.

After this report I made a media contact with Komen officials to ask if there was any verity to the potential defunding of Planned Parenthood. Their answer, at least thus far, is that they have funded Planned Parenthood and will continue to fund Planned Parenthood. According to Komen:

Komen provides funding for local community health programs through our network of more than 120 affiliates across the United States. Each affiliate is responsible for assessing the breast health service needs-including education, screening, treatment and support-for the residents within its region as well as identifying and providing funding to organizations that can meet those needs. Annually, Komen Affiliates fund programs that provide breast health education and breast screenings for hundreds of thousands of low-income, uninsured, or medically under-served women via nearly 2,000 local organizations, including 19 Planned Parenthood programs.

The decision to fund any breast health and screening program is based on a thorough assessment of a communityís breast health needs and resources. In some areas of the U.S., our affiliates have determined a Planned Parenthood clinic to be the best or only local place where women can receive breast health care.

This raises an obvious question based on the most recently publicized funding that followed reports Komen may have stopped. The money Komen gave to Planned Parenthood two days after the alleged stopping of funding was to the abortion provider headquartered in metropolitan area of Orange County, CA. Is Komen really saying it could not donate money to another womenís health agency in that hugely populated area that could serve womenís breast health without killing babies in the next room? Thatís pretty unbelievable.

Whatís more astounding is that the Orange County Planned Parenthood alone (and Komen has 18 others on the list) had a 2010 total revenue of $31,518.017. Itís hard to grasp with the human mind how an agency with that kind of money coming in can be the place with the greatest need to reach out to ďlow-income, uninsured, or medically under-served women.Ē Letís also remember that Planned Parenthood does not provide mammograms.

As far as removing funding, all Komenís reply said was this:
Twice each year, Komen affiliates conduct a thorough review of their community health grant programs to ensure that funds are being used only for breast health services. Under no circumstances are Komen funds used to fund abortions or other non-breast services, and any service provider shown to violate those rules would be immediately terminated from the Komen grant program.

Once again, we can only say thatís an irresponsible answer. That might be a nice intent, but we canít say it enough: Money given to Planned Parenthood is fungible. The more money it gets to funnel into its ďbreast health programĒ-whatever that is, since it canít even do mammograms-is more money freed up for its abortion program. You canít give clean money to a dirty organization.

We hope, we pray, this rumor that Komen will stop donating to Planned Parenthood may prove reality. So far there is no evidence of it, but we will wholeheartedly rejoice if it happens.
Until that day we mourn for the babies whose death might have been funded because Planned Parenthood had a bit of extra money to give because it is so well-funded.

Greetings Rev. Dr. Ralph Herbert and Rev Anita Killebrew,

I attended the 9/11 memorial at your church and was moved by the program.
On the way out I was given a Church Chat on the way out and as I read through it, I noticed the promotion of the Susan Komen Race for the Cure on page 10.
I do not know if you are aware that Susan Komen Race for the Cure gives donation money to the abortion organization Planned Parenthood. There are people who unknowingly give their donation to fight breast cancer and end up supporting Planned Parenthood.
The local Susan Komen Race for the Cure Tidewater gave a $25,000 grant to the new mega Planned Parenthood recently constructed at 515 Newtown Road.

Here is the link to from Susan Komenís national office as to why they give money to Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in the United States. Here are a few quotes from itís founder Margaret Sanger.

Sincerely,

Donald Spitz
The information below on the Foundations of Planned Parenthood was included in the original email.

On African-Americans, immigrants and indigents:
"...human weeds,' 'reckless breeders,' 'spawning... human beings who never should have been born." Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization, referring to immigrants and poor people
On sterilization & racial purification:
Sanger believed that, for the purpose of racial "purification," couples should be rewarded who chose sterilization. Birth Control in America, The Career of Margaret Sanger, by David Kennedy, p. 117, quoting a 1923 Sanger speech.
On the right of married couples to bear children:
Couples should be required to submit applications to have a child, she wrote in her "Plan for Peace." Birth Control Review, April 1932
On the purpose of birth control:
The purpose in promoting birth control was "to create a race of thoroughbreds," she wrote in the Birth Control Review, Nov. 1921 (p. 2)
On the rights of the handicapped and mentally ill, and racial minorities:
"More children from the fit, less from the unfit -- that is the chief aim of birth control." Birth Control Review, May 1919, p. 12
On the extermination of African-Americans:
"We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population," she said, "if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." Woman's Body, Woman's Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America, by Linda Gordon
On respecting the rights of the mentally ill:
In her "Plan for Peace," Sanger outlined her strategy for eradication of those she deemed "feebleminded." Among the steps included in her evil scheme were immigration restrictions; compulsory sterilization; segregation to a lifetime of farm work; etc. Birth Control Review, April 1932, p. 107
On adultery:
A woman's physical satisfaction was more important than any marriage vow, Sanger believed. Birth Control in America, p. 11
On marital sex:
"The marriage bed is the most degenerating influence in the social order," Sanger said. (p. 23) [Quite the opposite of God's view on the matter: "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge." (Hebrews 13:4)
On the Catholic Church's view of contraception:
"...enforce SUBJUGATION by TURNING WOMAN INTO A MERE INCUBATOR." The Woman Rebel - No Gods, No Masters May 1914, Vol. 1, No. 3.
On motherhood:
"I cannot refrain from saying that women must come to recognize there is some function of womanhood other than being a child-bearing machine." What Every Girl Should Know, by Margaret Sanger (Max Maisel, Publisher, 1915) [Jesus said: "Daughters of Jerusalem, weep... for your children. For, behold, the days are coming, in which they shall say, Blessed (happy) are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the breasts which never gave suck." (Luke 23:24)]

"The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it." Margaret Sanger, Women and the New Race (Eugenics Publ. Co., 1920, 1923)
