Mary Stachowicz 1951-2002 AD
On November 13 Mary Stachowicz offered Nicholas Gutierrez God's love
and forgiveness, and on November 13, Nicholas Gutierrez
punched, kicked, and mutilated Mary Stachowicz with a knife until he
got tired. Then he placed a garbage bag over her head, strangled her, and
jammed her body
in a crawl space under the floor of his apartment.
Gutierrez confessed to the crime and was charged with first-degree murder, attempting to conceal a homicide, and burglary.
On July 2, 2007 AD Nicholas Gutierrez was spared the death penalty and
sentanced to life in prison in the rape and murder of onetime co-worker
Mary Stachowicz, 51, mother of four.
It is commonly believed that Nicholas Gutierrez was spared the death
penalty because he is gay and Mary Stachowicz was a Christian.

vigil Sunday night (November 13) commemorating the three-year anniversary
of the murder of Mary Stachowicz--a devout Chicago Catholic woman who was
brutally killed by a homosexual man who reportedly flew into a rage when
she challenged him to change his lifestyle.
